Soft Targets Must Be Destroyed! is the second full-length from Soft Targets and completes the band's trilogy of records bestowed with exclamatory sentences for titles (?!!). This new Destroyed! record’s got good chips, from the shoe-gazery of “Bird Collision” and “Honestly” to the indie pop of “One More to Burn” and the full on poppy punk rock of “The Kids Want Action” (single out on Loud Devices, loud-devices.com) to the rockin’ excitement of "Excitment!" The record was recorded over the course of a few cold, dreary weekends in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago by the workhorse Kris Poulin (Pinback, The Watchers, Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Smog). Soft Targets Must Be Destroyed! won’t disappoint fans of good old fashioned rock music at a time when cute little ditties from twee singer/songerwriters domintate tv commercials for all the latest gadgetry. So please, strap on the headphones, crank your knob and get destroyed. Rock is dead! Long live rock!
